Description

Get your hands dirty and learn all about growing vegetables and herbs in containers with the Innisfil Seed Library!

This session is part of a summer-long program with the Innisfil Seed Library, throughout participants will learn about:

- What plants that are best suited for container gardening

- How to maintain a healthy container garden

- Companion planting and incorporating flowers into your vegetable/herb garden to attract pollinators

- How to harvest veggies and herbs for continuous harvest throughout the season

- Succession planting

- How to save seeds later in the season

This is an all ages program however children must be accompanied by an adult. Tools will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring gardening gloves and/or trowels if available.

Produce grown throughout the series will be donated to the Troy Scott Community Fridges.
