Printmaking Workshop VIRTUAL

Learn a new textile technique that you can bring to your quilt block for the From Behind the Mask project! Join local artist and educator, Laura Perrin, for a textile printmaking workshop!

Participants will create their own stamp to use on their quilt block. The stamps can reflect an artefact or item with a personal connection to the participant based on their pandemic experience. Laura will demonstrate how to carve the linoleum block, ink and print them directly onto fabric!

Material List: A From Behind the Mask quilt block kit will be provided to each participant, this includes the base material for the quilt block (for the community quilt), scrap fabrics, needle and thread, yarn. In addition, these workshop kits will contain the necessary printmaking tools and materials. Pre-workshop prep instructions will be emailed to all participants.

* Register by March 26th to coordinate receiving your workshop kit. Kits will include printmaking supplies borrowed from the artist that must be returned to the centre by Friday, April 9th.
