Mississauga Library: Canadian Children's Book Week Celebration
Join Ambreen Butt-Hussain for a fun and interactive workshop about turning journaling into story writing. Ambreen will read a chapter from her book, The Unlovable Alina Butt, revealing how the story was inspired by her own childhood experiences of immigrating to a new country, being the new kid, and trying to fit in with a funny last name. With guidance from Ambreen, participants will have the opportunity to use their imagination and past experience to begin to tell their own story, in written or picture format.
This hands-on workshop is for children ages 9-12.
Space is limited.
Please note: Ambreen will have copies of her books for sale after the workshop for $10 (no tax, cash only).
