Description

Adult Swirlpool - The capacity of the swirlpool is 4 people and the temperature of this pool is set at 86-88 F this fall. Customers must keep their physical distance from each other at all times. This is NOT an instructed program.

PANDEMIC HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

  1. All programs will have a maximum capacity based on physical distancing requirements. Customers must book their spot for all programs in advance at waterloo.ca/activewaterloo. Physical distancing protocols must be maintained at all times in the building and pool area. Swim customers will be expected to arrive with their bathing suits on.
  2. Regional Council passed by-laws that require the wearing of masks inside City of Waterloo facilities. Masks must be worn when entering the facility for the drop-in program you are attending. Masks should then be removed to participate in your swim. The by-laws exempt children under the age of five and those who are unable to wear a face covering (due to a medical condition, disability, etc.).
  3. Entrance into the facility will occur up to 8 minutes prior to the start of the program, through the front doors of the building labelled "Entrance", Registered customers will line up in the front lobby area (while observing physical distancing) and will then be escorted onto the pool deck. Customers will be permitted on the pool deck 2 minutes prior to the program start time.
  4. It is highly recommended that swim participants bring a large gym bag in which all belongings can be left on the pool deck during the program. Baskets will be available for use as required.
  5. All participants will shower on the pool deck and proceed to their designated program area. During the program, washroom facilities are available in the alternate needs change area only. This area will be limited to one customer at a time.
  6. At the conclusion of the program, participants will be permitted to access the male or female change facilities for drying off and changing. A maximum of 10 minutes will be permitted in the change room. Please note: no showers, and no family change facilities, will be available at this time.
  7. Once you leave the change facilities please exit from the labelled "Exit" doors and the front of the building.
  8. There will be NO equipment or seating available for use. Swimmers may bring their own portable chairs and equipment for the program they are participating in. These items will be sanitized in the front lobby area by our ambassadors. These items must additionally be approved by staff as appropriate for use on the pool deck. Equipment will need to be kept with you at all times and cannot be shared with people not in your household.
  9. ADULT SWIRLPOOL - Maximum 4 person capacity in the swirlpool. Customers must keep their physical distance from each other at all times. This is NOT an instructed program.
  10. Please note directional signage on the pool deck and all other areas.
  11. No refunds will be given once the program has started. Account credits will be provided should the program be cancelled in advance due to unforeseen circumstances.
  12. The viewing gallery is closed at this time. There is no spectating in the facility.
