In the morning, campers participate in a variety of traditional camp activities such as crafts, games, drama and outdoor play led by City of Waterloo summer camp staff. In the afternoon, campers participate in Wilderness Medicine Camp programming led by Little Medical School staff. For kids that love spending time outdoors, this camp focuses on some of the most common outdoor emergencies and how to handle them with confidence. Children role-play and learn about snake and mosquito bites, forest fires, tourniquets, edible vs. inedible wild plants, survival rescue situations and more. Included in this course fee is a first aid kit. The afternoon program is delivered and supervised by Little Medical School in cooperation with the City of Waterloo.
