Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life® Program

This is a progressive program. Participants must complete a level before advancing.

Swim lessons are offered through the Lifesaving Society's Swim for Life® learn-to-swim program. Swim for Life® is a complete learn-to-swim program offering courses for Parent & Tot through to Leadership.

For more information, please review the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life® program transition chart below. The chart will help determine which level a child should be registered in. It outlines the former Red Cross program names and the new corresponding Swim for Life® programs. Program transition charts can also be picked up at any Community Recreation Centre.

Online Account:

An online account is required to create Wish Lists, Enroll in Activities and to add yourself or family members to Waitlists.

Register early, as activities fill up quickly or may be cancelled if enrollment is low.

Symbol Legend:

$S - Participants 65 yrs or older receive a 50% discount
$ - Financial Assistance is available for this program
M - Members receive a 33% discount
N - New program
P - Parented

** Highest applicable discount applies. Discounts cannot be combined.

Tips for a successful search:

Search by activity number (barcode), part of the activity title, by key words or synonyms to find an activity you may be interested in.
Use the When, Where, Who, Activities buttons to narrow your search.
Use the Map View button to search for programs in facilities near you.
Create a Wish List of activities you are interested in before registration starts. When registration opens, login to your account and add items from your wish list to your shopping cart and complete your transaction. Notes: Adding programs to your wish list does not guarantee a spot in the activity. Programs may be full by the time you get to the checkout.
