Sailing Lessons - Quest Orientation (July 27 & 28)

A new CBSC sailing program designed to give new sailors the opportunity to experience the sport of sailing without the time commitment of other courses like sail green. It’s smaller class sizes and in boat coaching will allow more direct coach to student direction. Quest orientation will be a small course spanning 6 hours over two days. It is designed to give new sailors the opportunity to try sailing without the major time commitment of sail green or other courses. During the course, students will be divided into boats of three students, and 1 coach/leader. The coach or leader in the boat will give the students direct, immediate feedback, and help them to progress their skills during the limited time frame of the course. The course will try to teach the students the very basics of CANsail level 1, just enough to get them skippering safely, and enjoy their time on the water.
