Description
The City of Pickering’s Homelessness Subcommittee and GAP Committee presents: Us & Them – Film Screening and Panel Discussion
Join us for an impactful evening as we explore the realities of homelessness in Durham Region through the powerful documentary Us & Them. The film follows Krista Loughton’s ten-year journey of building relationships with four chronically homeless individuals, revealing how deep connection and mutual support can transform lives.
Before the screening, a panel discussion—facilitated by the GAP Committee—will feature community experts, service providers, and voices with lived experience. This is a chance to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful dialogue about homelessness in our community.
Registration is encouraged, especially for those interested in refreshments. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
Have a question for the panel? You may submit questions in advance to eknox@pickering.ca up to 48 hours before the event.
Please note: this event includes a trigger warning due to the sensitive and emotional content of both the panel discussion and film.
