Public Skating - January 4, 2021 - 12-1 PM

• Doors to the Stu Barnes Arena will open at 11:50 a.m. and will remain open until 12:10 p.m.

• A staff member will be stationed in the Stu Barnes Arena lobby to check in participants before they proceed to the skate tying area. There will be no access to dressing rooms; chairs will be provided in the skate tying area in the dressing room hallway.

• Participants will have to exit the facility by 1:15 p.m.

• No spectators will be permitted and the stands will be closed.

• Washrooms are available.

• Water fountains are not available; please bring your own filled water bottle.

• When attending public skating, skaters must follow the Agrena’s guidelines and all public health orders.

• City staff will be on site to monitor the facility.

When attending public skating at the Stu Barnes Arena during COVID-19, please follow these rules and guidelines:

• Do not attend public skating if you are feeling unwell.

• Practise physical distancing (maintain two metres between people).

• Practise healthy hygiene habits; wash your hands regularly/use hand sanitizer and avoid touching your face.

• Face coverings or masks are required when in all publicly accessible indoor areas of the Agrena, which includes the lobby, stands and washrooms. Face coverings are not required when on the ice surface.

• Helmets are mandatory for all participants.

• Do not bring any valuables that can’t be kept with you at all times.

• Skate aids are not provided, but you are permitted to bring your own.

• Sticks or pucks are not permitted.

• Participants are asked to skate in the same direction (clockwise).
