PREREQUISITE: Religious Studies 15
The search for meaning continues in Religious Studies 25 with the fundamental question, "What do I believe about myself, others, and God?" to assist students in their search, this course will explore Catholic Christian beliefs about scripture with a particular emphasis on the historical and faith elements in the life of Jesus Christ. They will explore relations with self, others, and God. Students will discuss social conscience in the digital world. Students will also examine the beliefs held by other World Religions.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Students MUST ATTEND for the whole duration of their online class period. Attendance is required and teachers are instructing, working with and supporting students throughout the assigned class time using online video tools such as Google Meet. This will mirror the in-class experience as much as possible.

REQUIREMENTS: Students should a) be self-disciplined; b) have the ability to meet deadlines, c) have good time management and d) have good reading comprehension

This course is located on our school district's Brightspace (D2L) platform. CCSD students will use their current D2L username and password. D2L username and passwords will be emailed to non CCSD

ENROLLMENT CONTINGENT UPON CONFIRMED PREREQUISITE.

A nonrefundable 10 dollar registration fee will be charged for all registrations on the registration page.

A refundable Textbook/Resource Caution fee of 40 dollars will be assigned to all students who have a confirmed registration. Forty dollars will be assigned per course. This will be paid up front on the registration page and refunded the same way it was paid for initially once the textbook and/or resources are returned.

Once registration has been confirmed, students and/or parents indicate they need textbooks shipped by checking the box on the registration page will be eligible to receive textbooks and/or course resources. Costs related to shipping will be a non-refundable flat fee of 20 dollars per course paid upfront when registering. (Subject to change).

TEXTBOOK RETURN/DROP OFF: Textbooks will be scanned upon return and upon confirmation of return, the $40 textbook caution fee per course will be refunded the same way the money was collected.

• Students enrolled in a course or courses at St. Anne Online High School (1010 - 21 Avenue SE) can pick up or drop off books M-F from 9:30am - 2:30pm. Our school will be closed as per the Calgary Catholic School District calendar, www.cssd.ab.ca/calendar. • TEXTBOOK/Resource PICK UP: Students MUST RETURN all previous course textbooks/resources prior to RECEIVING new ones.

REGISTRATION CHANGES: All changes to registration(s) must be made by emailing stannecourseassist@cssd.ab.ca or calling St. Anne Academic Centre (403-500-2012).

REFUNDS:

1. NO REFUNDS on Registration Fee

2. REFUND for TEXTBOOK CAUTION FEE - upon confirmation of Textbook(s) return

3. All Textbook Caution Fee refunds will be issued upon confirmation of textbook return, to the original online method of payment or by manual cheque. (Cheque refunds issued from District Office)

4. No refunds will be provided for shipping textbooks or resources unless the shipping has not occurred.
