Lifeguarding Courses
Description
The National Lifeguard Pool certification is designed to develop the fundamental values, judgment, knowledge, skills, and fitness required by lifeguards. The National Lifeguard course emphasizes the lifeguarding skills, principles and practices, and the decision-making processes which will assist the lifeguard to provide effective safety supervision in swimming pool environments.
PREREQUISITES:
• Bronze Cross – Bring certification
• Standard First Aid (Must be from one of 5 recognized agencies) (Bring certificate)
o The Lifesaving Society
o The Canadian Red Cross
o St. John Ambulance
o Canadian Ski Patrol
o Heart and Stroke Foundation
• 15 years old (by last day)
• 100% attendance required
Bring with you:
• Lunch/snacks/water
• Towels / Bathing suit
• Canadian lifesaving manual
• Pocket mask, whistle (mandatory)
• Goggles
• All certificates needed
This course requires 6 candidates to run. The course will be canceled with a weeks notice if minimum numbers are not met.
COST: $310.00 plus tax
