Description

The Sharks program is designed to give teens and young adults the opportunity to experience the challenges and benefits of working in aquatics. The program includes a training session that consists of instruction, shadow guarding, and special event planning. In addition, participants gain practical experience in all of these areas. Participant will be given the opportunity to volunteer during our swimming lessons, public swims and special events.

How to Apply

Step 1Complete the Application Form and return it to
Timms Community Centre or Al Anderson Memorial Pool.

Provide two reference letters that are not from your family.

Note: Al Anderson Memorial Pool opens in May.

Step 2Register for the program

Step 3Complete Police Information Check (PIC).
The PIC request can be dropped off at the
Langley RCMP Detachment in Murrayville (22180 48A Ave).

Upon completion, it will be sent directly to the
Recreation Supervisor and requires no further
action from the candidate.
