Description
Explore the Perseids meteor shower and other mysteries of the night sky. Chat with space enthusiasts whose telescopes will be aimed at the skies. Continue your space odyssey with a unique planet walk on lantern-lit trails, enjoy activities including blacklight skits. Bring a blanket to lay back on and watch “shooting stars” and learn how to find constellations. Camp overnight to extend your stargazing experience.

Event Camping Guidelines
Camping set up starts 6 pm (event begins at 8 pm) – Gate closed after 11 pm
• NO smoking, campfires, gas camp stoves, briquettes or generators due to high fire danger
• Cooking allowed with your propane stove (unless Extreme fire rating)
• Alcohol and drugs are prohibited
• Security on duty all night – gate will only open for emergency or special circumstances
• Quiet time is midnight, but respect others’ peace and quiet at all times (including music)
• Outhouses and potable water available – please bring your own water if possible
• Campers must be packed up by Sunday at 11 am – please “Pack it in, Pack it out”
• Camping is on a large, open, grassy field close to other campers

A park interpreter will be giving 15-minute star talks in the viewing field throughout the event. Star talks will start at 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30 pm.
Food Trucks
The following food options will be available from 7:00 – 11:00 pm, Saturday, August 12th:
• The Fishing Panda
• Bob’s Tacos (tacos, vegetarian option available)
• Caffeinated by Bubba (hot & cold coffee, hot chocolate)
• Lil Bits Mini Donuts (mini donuts & lemonade)

• Bob’s Breakfast (breakfast sandwiches, vegetarian option available)
