Andy Conte presents The Story of Hassan Diab, a Carleton University professor accused of the bombing of a synagogue in 1980’s Paris. Andy will guide the discussion and explore the history of extradition as it pertains to the history of Niagara, false "freedom" narratives and Upper Canada's complicity in chattel slavery using exemplary cases.
Andrea Conte is a writer, researcher, and filmmaker. He’s a settler on lands of the Dish with One Spoon Treaty, a fellow of the UnionDocs Carceral Screens and the Abolitionist Imagination CoLAB, and author of Administrative Sabotage: Censorship of Canada's State Archives, for Briarpatch Magazine.
