Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothing, non-marking soled running shoes and brings a water bottle.

Above The Rim Basketball School is a children and youth instructional basketball program in partnership with the City of Ottawa. The structure of our programs is focused mainly on skill development and an introduction to basketball. ATR has dedicated and experienced coaches that want to ensure that all children in our programs learn in a safe and fun environment and enhance their basketball skills. Each week focuses on improving and developing those skills within drills, mini competitions and at times organized, structured scrimmage games. However, scrimmage games are not a guarantee weekly or at all depending on the ages and skill level of players. As coaches, we firmly believe that we want to help develop those skills that will eventually translate within a scrimmage game. We often see the players that are more advanced excel during scrimmage and those who are just learning the game do not touch the ball much or fully understand the game.
