Intro to Glaze Chemistry

This class will introduce potters and hobbyists to the world of glaze chemistry. You will become familiar with the materials and recipes that make cone 6 glazes and learn about colour development. At the end of this class, you will have a small batch of your own personal blend of glaze! This class is suitable for students of all skill levels with an interest in understanding glaze making. Please bring a respirator with P100 filters to each class, all other supplies included. This class will not cover decorative application of glazes on pottery and only test tiles will be fired. This class does not include Open Studio access.
