Art Workshop 6 - Watercolour Forest with Image Transfer

Professional Photographer and Artist Nancy Falconi will take you step-by-step through the process of transferring a photographic image onto a paintable acrylic surface (note, a forest scene image will be provided). Participants will then combine the image transfer with medium to create a fluid, painterly look of watercolour. You will learn watercolour techniques to build depth and dimensionality within your forest scene. By the end of class, you will have learned how to transfer images, combine with acrylic and watercolour mediums to create photographic paintings. Nancy will guide you step-by-step from choosing colours to producing a finished piece. The skills you learn in this workshop will enable you to create mixed media paintings on your own projects using photographs of your own. No experience is necessary. A material fee of $20 will be collected by the instructor on the day of the workshop. A basic supply list will also be provided. The seniors discount does not apply; the full fee is required.

About Nancy Falconi:

Nancy Falconi is a photography-based artist. In 2002, she started a commercial photography business. Her images have been published in numerous editorial and commercial campaigns. She began to study fine art mediums, drawing and painting at The Toronto School of Art, Haliburton School of Art, Center for Photography at Woodstock and R&F handmade paint, as a way to expand her creative expression. She combines her photographic images with fine art painting mediums to create one-of-a-kind mixed media paintings..
