Description

Back by popular demand! New and returning participants will learn all of the basic acrylic pouring techniques needed to create unique one-of-a-kind art pieces while building on past experiences. Acrylic pouring is a fascinating fluid painting technique that creates marble-like patterns. Instructor Eva Folks has developed a process for the “pours” that gives great results. Eva will be sharing this process in this workshop, step-by-step, so you can create great pours too! You will create two 8x8 inch pours (one on canvas and one on a wood panel) and one on a sheet of canvas paper. Participants will learn how to prepare their work surfaces and discuss what is needed to create pours on your own. Learn about paint formulations and weights of paint necessary to create stunning pours. Make sure you wear clothing and shoes you can get paint on. Acrylic pour painting can be a bit messy! Note, you won’t be able to take your pours home on the day of the workshop. They will need to dry before being moved and arrangements will be made for you to pick up your creations a few days later. A material fee of $20 will be collected by the instructor on the day of the workshop. The seniors discount does not apply; the full fee is required.
