Description

If you have never picked up a paintbrush before – this workshop is for you! Bring a friend (or two) and spend the evening learning how to create a mesmerizing cosmic image with acrylic paint on canvas in this step-by-step paint-along workshop. For an enhanced experience, after the paint-along, participants will tour the observatory with an astronomer and see a demonstration of the 74” telescope pointed to an interesting celestial object for the visitors to view (weather dependent). Please wear/bring appropriate clothing and footwear for being outside. Please note this facility requires participants to climb stairs. All painting tools and materials included in registration fee.

Meet Your Instructor
Kimberley Smith is a dedicated painting instructor who enjoys teaching people of all ages and abilities. With a background in marketing and graphic design from George Brown College of Applied Arts & Technology, Kimberley brings a unique perspective to her classes, helping her students tap into their creative potential. She is the founder of Young at Heart Painting, which provides seniors with an outlet to express themselves through art. Kimberley’s other business, Kimberfly Design, focuses on creating beautiful and functional websites for clients in Canada and the USA. Kimberley is passionate about building connections and giving participants time to take their mind off things while they create a fun, memorable experience!
