ART WORKSHOP - Whimsical Wood-Carved Bunny with Marlene Ash

Channel springtime and learn the art of transforming a simple blank of wood into a delightful wood-carved bunny. In this workshop for both beginners and wood-carving enthusiasts, you will learn safe and skillful use of the knife and how to perfect your piece using sand paper. A short lesson on gouges and other tools will also be provided. Throughout the day, you'll be introduced to the intricacies of carving, allowing you to shape and detail your bunny with precision. Discover the joys of bringing a wooden figure to life as you craft its ears, eyes, nose, and tail. Walk away with a complete (or nearly complete) whimsical wood-carved bunny to keep for yourself or given to someone special. All tools and materials provided upon payment of $10.00 (Beginner Wood Blank) or $12.00 (Intermediate Wood Blank) Materials Fee to instructor at workshop. If you have worked with carving before, students are welcome to supplement with their own tools. Bring a bagged lunch.
