Description

Badminton - Beginner to Intermediate Level
Students from beginner to intermediate level will have fun and improve their fitness and skills! Students will identify, describe and follow the rules and routines of safety in a gym; explain the benefits and demonstrate warm-up and cool down activities; identify and discuss the benefits of healthy living while demonstrating a personal functional level of physical fitness; identify recreational and community programs that promote a healthy lifestyle.

Apply motor skills in drills and game activities; apply basic offensive and defensive strategies; demonstrate etiquette, sportsmanship and fair play. Tournaments, contests and socialization will be a part of this course. Additionally, students will participate in other physical activities.

Students MUST bring their own badminton racquets. Supplies are included in the fee. Ages 9-12.

Notes
1. Bring your report card to the first class in July.

2. If you do NOT have an online account already, create only one customer account per student. If you are not sure about your login name or password, please call our office, 604.668.6123.

3. Use your legal first name, legal last name and usual first name, if applicable.

4. Students will need their Personal Education Number (PEN) to register for Summer Learning.

5. Grades 1-7 students may register for only one block of Summer Innovation, Gilmore Summer Exploration or Summer Enrichment Grades 1-7 course. However, students may register for Summer Camps to increase their time in Summer Learning programs.

6. Absences in excess of three days are NOT acceptable.

7. Non-Richmond Public School Students - must bring a copy of their parents documents stating their status in Canada (e.g. Passport, birth certificate or PR Card) and proof that they live in BC (e.g. BC Driver's Licence & BC CareCard) to the first day of summer school.

8. There is a $30 processing charge for withdrawals before the second session. There are no refunds after the second session.
