Bronzed Up - Adult

The Town of Saugeen Shores is excited to be hosting the Bronzed up program this Fall. The Bronzed up course will have the first steps in becoming an aquatic staff member. At the end of the program successful candidates will have earned their Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and Standard first aid. This program is available FREE to any fulltime resident of Saugeen Shores (certification fees not included).

Candidates must be comfortable swimming 400m in 12 minutes or less, submerging up to 2m under water and treading for 3min prior to starting the program. Successful candidates of the program if interested in committing to work at the Centennial Pool for 6 hours a week or more through the 2023/2024 school year will be eligible to take their Swim Instructor and National Lifeguard this fall for free. It is an exciting time for aquatics in Saugeen Shores, come enter the world of aquatics and welcome the community into the new Aquatic and Wellness Center in 2025.
