Nutcracker Audition - Edmonton

NEW - Students auditioning are required to be fully vaccinated, 14 days prior to your application. Individuals will be required to bring proof of both vaccinations with them to the audition.

Applicants must pre-register by September 30, 2021.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTERING: Members of the children's cast of the The Nutcracker must commit to being present at all rehearsals and performances.

Audition Date: October 3, 2021

Audition Times will be emailed out closer toe date of the audition.

We are excited you are auditioning for a role in the children's cast of Alberta Ballet's The Nutcracker. Students of Alberta Ballet School can audition for the roles of mice, party kids, soldiers and pages and will join the Alberta Ballet Company dancers on stage..

To be part of the children's cast, boys and girls need to be a minimum of 12 years old before December 31, 2021 to be eligible. Senior roles (Party, Soldier and Pages) require three years of ballet training. Please note, each role has height restrictions due to the sizing of the costumes therefore we will measure the students on the day of the audition. It is important to note that students may not receive a role simply based on their height.
