Description
Alberta Ballet Outreach Classes are returning to Grande Prairie! This free 6-week beginner ballet program is offered in partnership with The Academy at Alexander Forbes School. Youth will explore ballet technique, music and the joy of movement–all in a relaxed, enjoyable and accessible environment for a beginner dancer. No uniform or previous dance experience is required. We recommend students wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and bring a water bottle. Students will dance in socks but are welcome to wear dance shoes if they choose. Dance provides students the opportunity to make new friends, develop poise, musicality, and build confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. This program is also a great complement to students who participate in other activities or sports looking to enhance their posture, balance and flexibility. Alberta Ballet Outreach Classes aim to increase access to the benefits of dance for more families.
