Description
Alberta Ballet Outreach Classes are coming to Fort McMurray! This free 6-week beginner ballet program is offered in partnership with MKD The Space. Youth will explore ballet technique, music and the joy of movement–all in a relaxed, accessible environment. Ballet classes provide students the opportunity to build confidence, nurture self-expression, make new friends and strengthen physical health in this safe and nurturing environment. This program is also a great compliment to students who participate in other activities or sports looking to enhance their posture, balance and flexibility. No uniform or previous dance experience is required. We recommend students wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and bring a water bottle. Students will dance in socks but are welcome to wear ballet slippers if they choose. Alberta Ballet Outreach Classes aim to increase access to the benefits of dance for more families.
