Description
Alberta Ballet is very excited to be offering Masterclasses for experienced dancers in Fort McMurray. These classes are offered free of charge as part of Alberta Ballet’s Outreach Program.
In this Masterclass, dancers ages 11-13 are invited to participate in a ballet class taught by one of our experienced faculty. These classes will further develop the dancer's ballet technique, while exploring the joy of movement and developing musical and artistic appreciation. This is an open class, accessible to all students regardless of their current method of ballet study.
At least 2 year of previous ballet experience is recommended.
During the Masterclass students minimum age 11 and in academic Grade 5 and up are also invited to audition, free of charge, for Alberta Ballet School’s 3-week Professional Division Summer Intensive: July 15th through August 2nd in Calgary. The program includes Ballet, Pointe Work, Pas de Deux (for select levels), Repertoire, Variations, Contemporary, Character Dance and Body Conditioning.
This Masterclass will be held at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts, 230 Powder Dr., Fort McMurray
