Edmonton F.A.C.E.S Beginner Ballet Ages 10-12

Alberta Ballet is excited to partner with the Filipino Academic and Cultural Educators Society (F.A.C.E.S.) to provide a complementary summer program of beginner ballet classes for Ethnocultural students of various heritage language and cultural programs.

Classes run Monday to Friday evenings, July 14 -18, at Alberta Ballet's studios in Edmonton. Students will explore the basics of ballet technique and musicality while nurturing self-expression. These fun, creative classes build strength, posture, athleticism and grace. Ballet also develops teamwork, listening skills and confidence while making new friends in a positive and welcoming space.

All classes are accompanied by a live piano player.

No uniform or previous dance experience is required. We recommend students wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Students will dance in socks but are welcome to wear ballet shoes if they choose. Long hair needs to be tied back off the face and please bring a water bottle. Alberta Ballet's Outreach Ballet Classes aim to increase access to the benefits of dance for more kids across Alberta.
