Fast track your career in Aquatics while you earn a High School credit! Healthy Living and Aquatic Activities, Grade 11 Open - PAQ3O is a hybrid Healthy Active Living Education course that includes in pool and in class instruction at the BWG Leisure Centre in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. It also includes an online component where students receive online course instruction, communicate with their teacher and work on course assignments. The 5 (five) Aquatic certifications: The Lifesaving Society - Bronze Medallion, Emergency First Aid, Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid with CPR-C/AED certifications and Assistant Swim Instructor are embedded in the Ontario curriculum. Candidates are also provided a National Lifeguard Preparation course. This is a great course for those interested in becoming Aquatic Employees for the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. NOTE: This program is available to all Ontario Secondary School students and is offered in partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. Credits are valid with all school boards whether you are with the Catholic, public or private high school system. Optional Volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the program that can be used towards Community Involvement hours. 100% Attendance is MANDATORY for this program. Pre-requisites – Must be 14 years old by the final day of the program.
