Description
Have an "ice" summer! This beginner level skating program is designed to introduce basic skating skills. Campers will gain confidence through a variety of games and activities with a focus on skating fundamentals including starting, stopping, balancing and gliding. Off ice activities includes games, crafts and much more.
Camp program runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This camp location does not offer Before or After Care. Drop-off starts at 8:50 a.m. and pick up ends at 4:00 p.m.
Prerequisite: Children must be able to participant in a group setting without assistance from parents. Participants are required to have their own skates. All children (12 and under) must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet and face mask/cage. Warm clothing, including mitts or gloves, is recommended. Children without the proper safety equipment will not be able to participate.
Meet Coach Jen! Jen fell in love with skating at the age of 5 and by 18 had completed her fourth figure, her Senior Silver Free Skate and her Senior Silver dances. She was also a part of the Syncrho Skating team in Unionville. She comes to us with 20+ years of teaching and skating experience, has completed her Skate Canada Canskate in training, and is currently in the final stages of becoming a fully certified Canskate coach.
