SPARTAN MEN'S BASKETBALL POINT GUARD CAMP
Date: Monday, August 28, 2023 – Thursday, August 31, 2023
Time: 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Age: Boys 13 - 17 years
Cost: $250 (plus tax)
Location: Langley Events Centre
As the Quarterback on the court, a point guard must be aware of all 5 teammates and all 5 defenders. This camp is more than just drill ball handling and shooting. While both are imperative skills any elite point guard will have, the mental side of the game is just as, if not more important. At the Spartan Point Guard Camp, athletes will be placed into small-sided games designed to teach specific details about the most important position on the floor. You will learn how to read all three levels of a ball screen, play situational games to bolster your understanding of time and score, and dive into the intangible emotional intelligence qualities the best point guards are committed to sharpening.
In the past two years, TWU Men’s Basketball has sent their point guards to play professionally, and you will have the benefit of being coached by Spartan Men’s Basketball coaches who will use the same training techniques they use with their athletes. If you really want to up your game as a point guard, this is the camp for you!
