Description
Learn to Lead Climb at Beyond The Crux Climbing Gym on Tuesday, February 7 from 7:00-9:00pm.
Learn the requirement to lead climb indoors: proper clipping, belay techniques & proper use of different belay devices. The class includes rental equipment and instruction by certified climbing instructors. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the climbing gym.
Level 2 Lead Course Requirements:
Must have either:
- Completed Level 1 or Learn to Climb program with UBC in the past 2 years, OR
- Be able to climb a 5.9 or higher (if they have no top rope belay experience, they cannot do a lead course)
Level 2 Lead Course Details:
$50 per person
This will be a one-time course over 2-3 hours depending on the number of participants. Register early!
