Description

Recreation's Beach Volleyball Fest is a mixed tournament for all skill levels with teams expecting to play 3 games in round robin play and a minimum of 1 game in playoffs. Team costumes/uniforms are encouraged!

Format:
  • All games and playoffs will be on Sunday, September 24 between 9am-7pm. Playoffs are single game elimination.
  • Teams can have a maximum of 4 self identified men on the court at one time. Six players required to be on the court.
  • All matches are best 2 out of 3 sets, 25-25-15. No cap on any game.
Rules: Intramural Volleyball rules within the Intramural Rule Book will apply.

Warm up
  • Teams will be guaranteed a 6 minute warm up in pool play and playoffs (3&3). This includes hitting and serving.

Prizes to be awarded:
  • First place team
  • Best dressed team

Officiating:
  • Teams will be responsible for providing one linesperson and one scorekeeper for each of their own games. This can be players on the bench, spectators, friends, etc.

Playoffs:
  • All teams advance to playoffs. All teams are guaranteed one match in playoffs (unless there are forfeits).

Registration Process:
1) Team Captain registers team and creates team password (at no cost)
2) The team captain and each, individual team member will "join a team" online, select their team name, use the password to join their team, complete the participant waiver, and individually pay their $13.
3) Even if a team has registered, if there are not more than 4 team members assigned to a team roster by the end of registration, you may be removed from the league without refund.
4) EVERY team member must join the team online (including paying the $13 fee and agreeing to the waivers) before being allowed to play.

NOTE: each individual may only create ONE team. If an individual creates more than one team, subsequent teams will be removed from the league.
