Adult Chamber Music Program

University Settlement’s Music & Arts School's Adult Chamber Music Program is designed for intermediate and/or advanced adult students who wish to make music in small ensembles. We offer a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, with expert coaching from talented instructors. The program is a fantastic way to meet new people, and work on some great chamber repertoire.

To sign up please enroll during the registration period. The Program Coordinator uses the information you provide to generate groups and find chamber repertoire based on participant level, availability, and repertoire requests. Pre-formed ensembles are also welcome. Coaches instruct groups on how better to coordinate ensemble playing.

The program includes 7 weeks of 90-minute weekly coaching sessions (exact rehearsal times to be set based on your submitted availability) and the opportunity to perform in a concluding concert on Sunday, December 3 at 3:00 pm.

Chamber Music participants have access to School studio space for practice purposes in addition to their coaching rehearsals.

The chamber music program costs $185.00, plus an annual agency membership fee of $25.00 plus HST paid once per calendar year. Registration for the Fall 2023 session will be open from August 2 to September 15. Once registration closes, the Chamber Coordinator will reach out to all registered participants to finalize ensemble assignments and scheduling.
