Description

This program has been paused until enrollment minimums can be reached. If you are interested in joining the class, please join the waitlist and we will restart the class once class minimums have been met.

CELTIC FIDDLING CLASSES offer an introduction to Celtic fiddling as well as different fiddling styles (Irish, Acadian, Country, etc.) and the rhythmic patterns of various fiddle tunes. The group will learn to put several tunes together in a fiddle set. Minimum of RCM Grade 4 or equivalent in violin studies; ability to play fast-tempo music and basic theory.

Financial assistance is available for qualifying students wanting to enroll in this activity. New students requiring financial assistance need to contact the music office to qualify for support before enrolling in the class.

** Agency membership is required to register in this University Settlement program.
