Animals can be amazing and this week campers will have fun being animals, zookeepers or imagining that they work for a wildlife magazine or tv show. It will be adventure after adventure as we explore animals from around the world!

Action, adventure, comedy, and suspense await in this Film Making Camp. Using the equipment and under the guidance of a master filmmaker and Gryphon Camp Counsellors, your young filmmaker will learn to story board, develop a script, create camera angles, edit, and add special effects, music, and titles. The final result.....a blockbuster to enjoy on the big screen with family and friends.

Mentored by master filmmakers, campers will engage in hands on exploration of the film making process, including pre-production, production and post production. Working in small crews, they will learn about cinematography, script writing and editing. Campers will then create, act in and edit a short film and movie trailer. Each film crew will use a Mac Book, HD camera, tripod, green screen, and boom mic under the guidance of their own filmmaker.

This camp is in collaboration with Film Camp In A Box. Half of the each day during the week will be dedicated to learning and working specifically on their movies with the "Film Master". During the other half of the day, the Gryphon Counsellors will continue to assist campers on ideas for their movie, but also plan and facilitate activities that will have them being active, outdoors, connecting with our weekly theme and hosting Whimsical Wednesday and Fun Friday. It's a great mix of traditional camp activities and movie making.

Note: Post Camp Extended Day will be offered between 4:30pm-5:30pm for an additional fee. Registrations for extended day programming will take place in June.
