Book your time slot now for a 1on1 Personal Training session with Killarney’s very own Personal Trainers. Killarney's certified fitness professional will work with you to identify your goals and create a specific customized program that maximizes the benefits of your training routine. Personal Training Packages include the option of 1, 3, 5 or 10 1-hour sessions.

*A Personal Trainer Health & Fitness Questionnaire

*A Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire form (PAR-Q+)

*If you are pregnant: PARmed-X

*If you answered “YES” to any of the questions on the PAR-Q+ form, a note from your doctor or physiotherapist is required. The note must confirm that you can proceed with fitness training.

Email your forms to killarneyfitnesscentre@vancouver.ca or submit your forms to the Killarney Community Centre reception desk 48hours prior to your first 1on1 Personal Training Session.

PLEASE NOTE:

The nature of the activity is such that you may interact with other people who are considered to be in good health, continuous physical distance between other people cannot be guaranteed, and, by participating in the activity, you are at risk of being infected by a pathogen, including but not limited to SARS-COV-2. SARS-COV-2, which causes the disease COVID-19, may exacerbate other health issues and is the cause of an ongoing global pandemic. SARS-COV-2 is highly communicable and dangerous. If you become infected with SARS-COV2, you may transmit it to other people even if you are not exhibiting symptoms of illness.

GENERAL SAFE PRACTICES

• Registration and payment is required for most programs to help reduce the capacity to allow for physical distancing. Limited drop-ins may be permitted.

• Please arrive no more than 10mins prior to your program time. Patrons may be required to line up prior to entering the facility.

• Please follow physical distancing practice and maintain minimum 2 metres between yourself and others at all times.

• Please bring your own pre-filled water bottle and dress accordingly. Not all fountains and changing rooms will be available.

• The building will not be open for loitering. You will be asked to leave the building once your program has ended.

• Anyone not following safety guidelines or directions from staff will be asked to leave. Please respect and follow directions of staff at all times.

COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY

• All participants, instructors and staff who have symptoms of COVID-19 OR traveled outside Canada in the last 14 days OR were identified by Public Health as a close contact of a confirmed case must stay home and self-isolate.

• Participants must assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending a program.

• A participant may still receive care if another person in their home has symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease, but they remain asymptomatic.

• Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers will not be permitted to attend program.

• Daily checks for respiratory illness at sign-in by asking participants to confirm that they do not have symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other respiratory disease.

• If a participant, instructor or staff member is unsure if they should self-isolate, they should be directed to use the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool, contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit. They can also be advised to contact a family physician or nurse practitioner to be assessed for COVID-19 and other respiratory diseases.

ENHANCED CLEANING MEASURES

• Reducing the amount of people who can visit at one time.

• Setting up one-way travel around facilities, and where it is not possible, two-way travel will be in place.

• Clearing and cleaning programming space and equipment in between classes and activities.

• Facility will be sanitized at least twice per day on all high frequency touch points in addition to any regularly scheduled overnight sanitizing/cleaning per operating days of the facility.

• Site Safety Plans available at reception desk.

Registration for Personal Training at Community Centre Only. Patron must complete Personal Training Package including Par Q+ forms.
Dates & Times will be scheduled between Personal Trainer and patron.


*There is a 6 month limit to your training session package. To get the best

results, meet with your trainer regularly.

*There is a 24 hour cancellation policy and you may be charged for missed

sessions. One client attending a Semi-private workout is a completed

workout session. Contact the Killarney Community Centre for: late arrival,

cancellations, schedule change, etc. @ 604-718-8201.

*If there is a medical emergency or extended periods that you will be absent,

initiate a refund or extension for your remaining sessions with the fitness

programmer as soon as possible.

*Wear appropriate workout clothing such as shorts, t-shirt and proper athletic

shoes. Bring a water bottle and a sweat towel.

*Vancouver Park Board, Killarney Community Centre Society, community

centre and its agents/employees are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending a program.
  • Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.
  • All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.

KILLARNEY COMMUNITY CENTRE SOCIETY REFUND POLICY

  • If your refund request is received five or more days prior to the start of the program, a full refund will be issued.
  • If your refund request is received within four days of the start of the program, your refund will be equal to the program fee minus the price of one class.
  • If your refund request is received after the first class, your refund will be equal to the program fee minus the price of two classes.
  • Each Community Centre program refund notice (excluding rink and pool activities), is subject to an additional $5.00 administration fee.
  • No refunds are allowed after the second class of the program.
  • Fees for one or two-day programs are non-refundable.
