Samba no
pé (samba of the foot) is a solo dance from Brazil. Made famous by Brazilian carnival parades, it has its roots in the kitchens, backyards, and streets of Afro-Brazilian communities in Rio de Janeiro and other parts of Brazil. Samba rhythms follow a 2/4 beat, and the music can vary from relaxed bossa nova songs to high-energy drum ensembles. Expect a lively and joyful class with swaying hips, fancy footwork, and elegant upper body movement. Please wear comfortable clothing, and dance barefoot or in shoes.

Full refunds will be issued minus a $5 administrative fee for all programs cancelled prior to the start date of the program. Pro-rated refunds, based upon the number of classes that have passed, will be provided for classes cancelled after the start date and where instruction has been provided. Anyone who is unable to attend a program due to a change of date or time will be provided with a full refund for that class.
