Description

Improve consistency and control in a fun and encouraging environment. This half day camp is designed for players with experience who can rally consistently. Students will further develop ball control (direction, height, distance) and technique following the Summer Smash Progression. Students will be grouped according to age and skill to ensure appropriate level of challenge.

Key Information

? All tennis lessons are taught by a Tennis Canada Certified Instructor

? Max student-to-teacher ratio of 6:1

? Students are expected to bring their own racquets to the lesson and to come dressed in athletic clothing with athletic shoes

? Students are expected to bring water

? In the case of rainy or questionable weather, classes may be canceled. The instructor will contact you. Refunds will be issued at the end of the session.


Waiver

Students must complete our activity waiver prior to the first class. Waivers are available online at www.summersmashtennis.ca. Participants will not be allowed to play until a completed waiver has been submitted.


Student Background

? Can rally 10 in a row with forehand and backhand from ¾ to full court

NOTE: The nature of the activity is such that you may interact with other people who are considered to be in good health, continuous physical distance between other people cannot be guaranteed, and, by participating in the activity, you are at risk of being infected by a pathogen, including but not limited to SARS-COV-2. SARS-COV-2, which causes the disease COVID-19, may exacerbate other health issues and is the cause of an ongoing global pandemic. SARS-COV-2 is highly communicable and dangerous. If you become infected with SARS-COV2, you may transmit it to other people even if you are not exhibiting symptoms of illness.



Communicable Disease Health & Safety Practices:


Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending a program.

Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.

All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.


Refund Policy: A $5 processing fee will be charged for all program refunds and transfers. 48 hours notice is required and there will be no refunds granted after the scheduled second class.
