Description

Lessons provide young players with some experience the ability to continue developing their skills through high energy, game-based lessons that use the 3/4 stage of the progressive tennis model. An emphasis is places on inspiring a love for the game while building a solid technical foundation. Students are expected to bring their own racquets to the lesson

Notes

Refund policy: Pro-rate refunds are given up to 48 hours prior to the second class in a series of classes. There is an administrative charge of $3 for all refund requests.

  • Develop or refining technique for groundstrokes
  • Develop consistency rallying in the 3/4 court to full court settings
  • Develop technique for serve

Development Focus

  • Continue to develop groundstroke technique
  • Improve ability to rally with limited use of or no self-rallies
  • Become familiar with shot-cycle
  • Develop a love for tennis in a positive environment

Key Information

  • All tennis lessons are taught by a Tennis Canada Certified Instructor
  • Max student-to-teacher ratio of 6:1
  • Students are expected to bring their own racquets to the lesson and to come dressed in athletic clothing with athletic shoes
  • Student are expected to bring water
  • In case of rainy or questionable weather, classes may be canceled. The instructor will contact you. Refunds will be issued at the end of the session.

Waiver
Students must bring a signed copy of our activity waiver to the first day of class or camp. Waivers are available online at www.summersmashtennis.ca . Participants will not be allowed to play until a completed waiver has been submitted.

NOTE: The nature of the activity is such that you may interact with other people who are considered to be in good health, continuous physical distance between other people cannot be guaranteed, and, by participating in the activity, you are at risk of being infected by a pathogen, including but not limited to SARS-COV-2, which causes the disease COVID-19.
