Description
It can be easy to forget about the wealth of food that grows all around us. In this Village Vancouver Westside Neighbourhood Food Network workshop, you’ll learn about edible plants that call our region home. Lori Snyder from the Métis Nation will discuss how to identify and harvest wild, edible, and medicinal plants in an ethical way, and more! We'll have a community seed library present - pick up some free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds. Reduced fee for Seniors (65 and over).

Notes
Children 8 years and older are welcome to register when attending workshop with a responsible adult. Registration for under 19 is only by phone or in-person.

Communicable Disease Health & Safety Practices:

• Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending the Facility.
• Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.
• All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.
Requests for refunds must be received at least 24hrs prior to the 1st class, 2 days prior to the 2nd scheduled class for pro-rated refund. Refunds are subject to a $5 administrative fee.
