Description

So, you want to be a babysitter? Do you or your parents want to feel confident knowing you are responsible and able to care for others on your own?
Course Content: Responsibility and leadership skills, Decision making and behaviour management, Child developmental strategies, Practical skills: feeding, diapering and dressing, Safety awareness and prevention, First Aid for babysitters, Business of babysitting. Please bring a nut-free lunch and medium doll/teddy to practice on.

Communicable Disease Health & Safety Practices:
Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending a program.
Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.
All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.
