Description

This is a basic one day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Certification lasts for 3 years with the Canadian Red Cross. Course content includes Preparing to Respond, Check, Call, Care, Airway Emergencies, Breathing & Circulation Emergencies, First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest, CPR/AED level A or C, Small Wound Management, and Basic Medical emergency management. Leisure Access subsidy does not apply to one-day course/workshop programs.

Communicable Disease Health & Safety Practices:

• Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending the Facility.
• Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.
• All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.

KILLARNEY COMMUNITY CENTRE SOCIETY REFUND POLICY
• Each Community Centre program refund notice (excluding rink and pool activities), is subject to an additional $5.00 administration fee.
• If your refund request is received 48 or more hours prior to the start of the program, a full refund will be issued.
• If your refund request is received less than 48 hours prior to the start of the program, your refund will be equal to the program fee minus the price of one class.
• If your refund request is received less than 48 hours prior to the start of the second session of the program, no refund will be issued.
• Fees for one or two day programs will only be refunded if 2 weeks or more notice before the program start date is given ($5 administrative fee will be waived if program fee is $10 or less). No refunds if less than 2 weeks notice is given.
