Description

Continue developing a tennis foundation and build confidence. Lessons provide young players with some experience the ability to continue developing their skills through high energy, game-based lessons that use the ¾ stage of the progressive tennis model. An emphasis is placed on inspiring a love for the game while building a solid technical foundation.

Student Background

- In the process of refining technique for groundstrokes

- In the process of developing correct movement and positioning

- Can rally consistently from service line or farther (¾ court or baseline)

Development Focus

- Develop a love for tennis and sport in a positive environment

- Develop and integrate reception and projection skills for movement and tracking

- Develop full-motion groundstrokes with modern technique

- Develop cooperative and competitive rally skills

Student Groupings

- Students will be split into small groups based on age and skill

Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending the Facility.

Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.

All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.




Refund Policy: A $5 processing fee will be charged for all program refunds and transfers. 48 hours notice is required and there will be no refunds granted after the scheduled second class.
