Canadian guidelines recommend resistance training major muscle groups at least 2 times per week. Using a variety of equipment and bodyweight with an ongoing variety of exercises you'll develop and maintain a strong foundation for daily activities and challenges.
ALL BODIES COMMUNITY RECREATION AND FITNESS
We are an inclusive, choice - based, community-anchored, health and wellness program welcoming all abilities, genders, shapes, ages, and sizes.
Our workouts are never meant to be punishing, we offer scalable easy to follow exercises designed to help you develop confidence and a foundation for health, fitness, or performance. We teach skills and movements transferable to the "gym" and other activities. Our Learn to Play Sports are for folks wanting to return to or try a sport for the first time.
To participate use an ABC Drop in. an ABC 10 pass usages card or purchase an ABC Flexipass which includes access to all the ABC group activities and the Vancouver Park Board's pools, ice rinks and fitness centres) To help us track attendance please register on the master roster. LAP discount is applicable.

Access to all physical activities is with an ABC flexipass, an ABC 10 pass usage card or an ABC drop in. All physical activities are drop in only except the Hip and Knee program which has limited registration. To help us track attendance please register on the master roster. Registration on the master roster is to help us track attendance. No classes stat holidays and stat long weekends.
NOTE: The nature of the activity is such that you may interact with other people who are considered to be in good health, continuous physical distance between other people cannot be guaranteed, and, by participating in the activity, you are at risk of being infected by a pathogen, including but not limited to SARS-COV-2. SARS-COV-2, which causes the disease COVID-19, may exacerbate other health issues and is the cause of an ongoing global pandemic. SARS-COV-2 is highly communicable and dangerous. If you become infected with SARS-COV2, you may transmit it to other people even if you are not exhibiting symptoms of illness.
• Participants should assess themselves daily for symptoms of common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease before attending a program.
• Participants who are ill, including participants of essential service providers, should not attend a program or access the Community Centre. If you are unsure, you should self-isolate and contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit.
• All participants are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.
