They say great players make their partners better. In this camp, we'll work on strategies and tools to help you become a better partner and a stronger team player. Whether competing in doubles or mixed, success comes from being in sync with your partner, communicating effectively, and adapting to challenges. Learn how to problem-solve during matches, make smart decisions, and create opportunities that give you and your partner a competitive edge.
Sessions will cover the following concepts:
- Dynamic warm-up and injury prevention strategies.
- Court warm-up.
- Stacking strategies,
- Poaching.
- Isolating opponents / what to do when you're being isolated.
- Moving as a team / Getting your team to the NVL.
- Who take the middle?
- Turning defense into offence.
- Ideal court positioning.
- Communication.
- Helpful body mechanics, including footwork.
Session format: 15-minute dynamic warm-up, 90 minutes of drills, 45 minute of monitored game play.
If you would like to register as a doubles team, please register both players individually. If you would like to register individually, you will be paired up by the instructors.
