Description

Join Louise for a gentle strength and balance workout in your chair! This program is a enjoyable continuation of level 1 and is suitable if you are living with a chronic condition, are getting back into group fitness, or like to move and listen to great music! A chair is used to create a comfortable and safe environment while you work on your confidence and mobility, and more standing options are provided than level 1.

Each class will begin with a gentle head to toe warm up and introduces a variety of strengthening exercises that use optional hand weights, bands, balls and other equipment, and you will learn how to do each exercise safely with correct form. Hand grip strength will be included, and light stretching will end each class. Optional standing balance work holding onto the chair and shoulder work against the wall will be offered.

Modifications of exercises are provided to take special consideration of any injuries and limitations you may have. Do as much or as little as is comfortable for you that day. Gentle Strength and Balance Level 2 is an energizing and easy-going addition to your day!
