Description
Swimmer 1 is a beginner level for swimmers 6 years or older and new to swimming/swimming lessons. While building the foundations of swimming, participants will gain confidence as they learn safe entries into various depths of water, treading water in a lifejacket, opening their eyes underwater and breath control. Once they have mastered their floats, rollovers, glides, and kicks from front to back unassisted, they will be ready to front crawl their way into the next level!
Due to the nature and difficulty of Swim For Life lessons, it is very common for swimmers to do the same level multiple times before moving to the next level! Please take this into consideration if you are registering for multiple classes.
Prerequisites:
- 6+ years of age
- Any Red Cross Preschool Level
- Red Cross Swim Kids Level 1 (Complete OR Incomplete)
- Red Cross Swim Kids Level 2 (Incomplete)
- Swim For Life Preschool 1-4 (Complete OR Incomplete)
- Swim For Life Swimmer 1 (Incomplete)
Prior to attending this swimming level, the participant should:
- Be curious in and around water
- Have an interest in learning to swim
- Be able to work independently in a group setting

CANCELLATIONS
Vecova strives to give 5-7 days prior to the start of a program, notice of cancellation. Full refunds will be given or the opportunity to transfer to another program (space permitting).
TRANSFERS
All program transfers are subject to availability and a transaction fee.
WITHDRAWALS
All withdrawals must be made a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of a program. Prior to 7 days a credit minus a transaction fee of $2.00 per program will be placed on your Vecova account for future use. Refund requests made prior to 7 days to program start date will be subject to a $25.00 administration fee. Refunds will not be given if cancelled within 7 days of program start date or after the program has started.
PHOTOGRAPHY
To protect everyone's privacy, cell phones, cameras and other forms of communication devices are not permitted in the changerooms.
Photos may be taken of your children while in a program. A Vecova employee has the right to view the photo to ensure the privacy of others.
