Description

HopOn is a game-based program for youth to develop on-bike skills. This program was adopted by Cycling Canada from Cycling BC and is considered the "national standard" when teaching basic cycling skills to youth. Lead by trained instructors, the program provides youth to participate in an inclusive & positive sports environment. The curriculum has 5 levels of adaptability to meet the needs of the participants skill level. Skills that are developed through this curriculum of game-based activities include but not limited to: helmet & bike check, braking, ready position, turning/cornering, front-wheel lifts, tilts & dismounts, one-hand riding & partner riding.

Participants must have their own bike and helmet, and need to be currently comfortable riding a bike.

Notes
Participants must have their own bike and helmet, and need to be currently comfortable riding a bike.

Participants are to meet at Rotary Park at Pavilion #2 at 5:15pm on Tuesday, August 6th.
