Students will need to bring a gel plate, paper, brayer, acrylic paints and some good quality laser prints. A detailed supply list will be provided.

About the instructor: Jennifer Love has been an artist and teacher for over 40 years. She studied textile arts at Capilano College in North Vancouver and was a founding member of Foxglove Fibre Arts Studio/Gallery on Bowen Island.

She has participated in numerous exhibitions on the Sunshine Coast, Bowen Island, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island.

Hand-painted and printed fabrics or papers are fundamental to Jennifer’s art practice. While she uses a myriad of different techniques and tools to create them, in recent years she has become more and more enthralled with the possibilities inherent in monoprinting with a gel plate. She works intuitively, embracing the unanticipated results of a printing session as well as the happenstance juxtaposition of collage elements.
