Shirin is an interior architect with a Masters of interior architecture from Cal Poly - UCLA extension (2013), a bachelor of science in interior design from the Art Institute of San Francisco (2011), a diploma in interior design from the Art Institute of Vancouver (2006), and a management certificate in interior design from BCIT (2005). Her expertise spans more than a decade in residential and commercial design as an interior architect and project manager in Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Tehran. The level of commitment and attention to design stems from being exposed to blue prints and job sites from an early age shadowing her civil engineer father on his construction projects; and the love of teaching in her has stemmed from being a mother and trying to build a better future for her daughter. She wants to teach the next generation about problem solving, innovations, creativity, and aesthetics. She wants the kids to use their imagination to create interior environments that address, protect and respond to human needs while being functional and sustainable for the future generations.
